our symptoms are suggestive of tinea cruris(jock itch). Tine cruris is a fungal infection in the groin area. It affects mostly adult men. It's caused by a type of fungus called dermatophytes. Dermatophytes like to grow on skin that's moist and warm and thrive in areas where skin comes into contact with other skin, such as the groin or between the toes. You will have to keep the groin dry, have an antifungal tablet, antacid and a topical antifungal over the area. The following steps may help: - Avoid using oily skin products - Reduce your exposure to the sun. Exposure to sun may trigger or worsen an episode and a tan makes the rash more visible. - Do not wear tight clothing. - Change undergarments regularly - Wear breathable fabrics such as cotton to decrease the sweating. - Keep areas where there is sweat accumulation dry regularly and apply powder in those areas to reduce the moisture. If the problem is persistent or worsens I would advise you to meet a dermatologist.
