My grandfather have been sick for a week. He had a lot of phlegm and that causes him to have breathing difficulties. Hence, we brough him to a doctor and he used a stabilizer to help my grandfather to ease his breath. At the same time , he also prescribed him normal cough medince. However, a few days have passed, my grandfather is still having breathing difficulties at night and he couldn't sleep in the entire night. I also noticed that he is losing weight rapidly. S

Please approach a pulmonologist and get him thoroughly evaluated. Although i dont understand what do you mean by stabilizer but may be he has infection or some other issue which requires him to undergo radiological and blood investigations
