BPH-3 & hypotonic bladder
My father had an emergency of urine obstruction in last month so we admitted in a hospital and he is with catheter till now. the diagnosed results are at first it was a UTI , prostate size 55cc , at first S-PSA is 46 and after medication it is now 4.1, and doctors suggested for urodynamic assessment but the results are suggesting hypotonic bladder ? so doctor asked for to take 2nd opinion prostate removal surgery , so can any one please guide is my father can under go TURP surgery or not is it safe in his age, if not is there any alternative or any other solution ? i request u all please guide us we are very worried and tense and is there any life risk for my father ? please respond and suggest something to how can we save my father .. please all of u suggest the safe way to save the life... plz..

Hi there.. I can understand your concern. Your father can undergo surgery.. age is not contraindication if there are no other associated comorbities like high bp, diabetes, cardiac problem.. even if they there but under good control then he can be taken up for surgery.. turp( transurethral resection of prostate) like any other surgery, it is also associated with risks.. please get your father completely evaluated so that we know whether he is fit for surgery..
