I have an acute anal fissure for almost 4 months now. The fissure is healing, but occasionally, when i pass bulky soft stools, the stools rub against the fissure and again create irritation in the fissure. My doctor said this is due to a tight anal sphincter and recommended LIS surgery. I do not want to get surgery. Can i opt for Botox injection to help cure my tight sphincter till the fissure heals? Are they effective?
