Both hyper & hypo thyroi
Hi,
3 years back he went radio iodine treatment for hyper thryoid .. after that treatment he became hypo and taking thyronorm supplicant .. but he levels are never come under control .. he recently had a blood test his ft4 is 2.25 and TSH is 6.51 .. now doctor is asking to under go mri scan for pituitary gland as it indicates both hypo and hyper .
I am confused .. as he undergone ROI and his thyroid is completly destroid .. how it can be again hyper and that existing of both .. please help .. do i need to under go MRI or take 2nd opinion with other doctor once...
