Body problem

I am 18 years aged boy . my height is 5 feet and 5 inch & weight 58 kg. Recently I joined gym. Can I use weight things like dumbell or burbell for exercise? Some people says that if I use weight things for exercise it will reduce my height. Is it correct? Please tell me. Or can I use weight things for exercise? help me

Hey, its not true , you can increase both height and weight in gymnasium ,you do stretching exercises, cycling , swimming which helps in increasing height.
