BLOOD TEST RESULTS
Dear Sir, My CBC shows haemoglobin as 17.1 when the normal range is up-to 17 and Potassium in blood is 3.29 when the range is 3.6 to 5.0. Please suggest if anything is wrong

If u are an alcoholic or smoker, avoid those things.. recheck ur Hb in another 2 weeks time. If it's high then 1 unit of venesection might be needed. For potassium, if u had vomiting it would get corrected once vomiting subsides.

If you're a smoker this hemoglobin level will be seen, if you aren't further investigations will be required to find the cause. Your potassium level is low(hypokalemia) if you develop symptoms such as confusion, altered memory and speech and excessive vomiting, Kindly visit the ER at the earliest. To control the potassium you can have potassium rich food such as bananas, avocados, figs, kiwi, oranges, spinach, tomatoes, milk, peas, beans, peanut butter and bran.
