Blood Sugar
My father age is 59 years. Today i checked for sugar levels in sugar checking machine. Before having any food i.e Fasting Sugar was 130 mg/dL and after 2hours of having food ppbs sugar range is 177-180 mg/dL. Whether he is diabetic?. Please guide me. I am very tensed. Before 1 month sugar levels are in normal range.

He can be diabetic too. But the fasting and post meals sugar values reflect the previous days diet intake. So it is advised to do hba1c test to get a true diagnosis of diabetes. Also the glucometer that we use in home gives capillary blood values, which are usually a little high. So do a complete sugar profile in lab where they collect venous blood.
