How fast does hyglocacimia take to start causing brain damage in a new born? Minutes? Hours? Or days ? Is a new born with a read ing of 1.8 1.4 a bad reading.?

There no proven limit for hypoglycemia.. but if it happens it will cause damages to brain in seconds to minutes. In newborn generally blood glucose less then 40 mg/dl is called hypoglycemia.
