Blood clot after medical abortion
Hi, I got 5 week pregnant and then had my medical abortion on 11th April, followed by heavy bleeding on 13th which lasted for a week. Then on 19 i had a USG which showed a remaining blood clot of 1.8 x 0.3 x 0.8 mm ( volume : 0.25 cm^3 ). I consulted with another doctor and she recommended to take 3 Misoprostol 200 mg tablets and wait for a week. But i am worried about other things, please help me out :-
1. Can i get uterus infection if i wait for another week ? If yes should i start taking antibiotics now or after a week?
2. What if this blood still stays after a week, should i get D&C to get it removed. I really dont want to go through D&C.
