Black patches on back

Asked for Male, 34 Years

Hi since last 3-4 years my wife has developed black patches on her back. It itches and also loose sensation. Have consulted a dermatologist once but was prescribed steroids. It increasing day by day and we are confused which medical professional to be consulted. Pls advise
