Bipolar like symptoms due to insomnia
Hello, my dad had a severe stress condition last year coupled with an insomnia condition so he started having hallucinations....as a result doctors put him on Risperdal to counter the hallucinations. Later it was found there was typhoid in his system. He has been treated for typhoid, but how can he reverse the effects of the risperdal on his mind?

Risperidal does not cause any permanent effects in mind which you need to reverse. It's like saying I took a Cronin for fever few months back and now want to reverse the effect of that medication. Since you said he has hallucinations it's best for him to continue medications and stop or change only after speaking to treating doctor. Many psychiatric conditions can return after stopping medications even if the patient seems to be completely recovered.
