Between period Spotting

Asked for Female, 19 Years

Ive been taking Alesse birth control for over a year and i am only 9 days into my 28 day pack and i have brown discharge/spotting for the past 4 days. The spotting is very light but is noticeable. I have been using my birth control to "skip" my periods for he past 3 months and i haven't had a problem so far. Please help me understand why and how i can stop it?
