I've been on methadone for 3+ years as my long-lasting pain medication, overseen by a pain doc. We tried Morphine CR but I am still going through extreme withdrawal. What is my best option, and what would be an equivalent for 60 mg a day? Options are Oxycontantin, Embitra, and Hysingla ER. No patches due to adhesive sensitivity.

Hello Ma'am. Very Good evening. I'm Dr.Yogesh Kr Sharma. I can answer your queries. For what purpose you are taking methadone, given in detox centre for knock down harder drugs such as smack, heroin, brown sugar, oxycodone, hydrocodone etc. But Methadone is not available in india & also disapproved by indian health commitee for being more addictive potential. The best option for you as an alternate for Methadone in india is Buprenorphine comes in a combination of Buprenorphine (2mg) + 0.5 mg of Nalexone. Nalexone is used in opoid overdosage and the combination I mentioned to you is sublingual means, you should put the pill under your tongue for atleast 30 minutes. But even on prescription it is not possible to get except you go to a rehabilitation centre. The Nalexone is added to buprenorphine cause, nobody cannot crush the Tablet buprenorphine alone and inject into the vein to get a high. To understand your problem Very well and to help you, kindly come to practo chat for your evaluation, counseling and treatment part. This would be highly confidential. Regards. Take care. Bye.
