Ny son had fever and cold for more than 3 days .initially doctor thought it's viral infection so asked to manage with paracetamol . But fever continued 3rd also so visited hospital again and doctor gave antibiotics ( augmentin duo twice for 5 days ) .
But he cried while urinating after 2 dose of augmentin duo so I gave urine sample for culture by self . In a meantime I am continuing antibiotics. 4th day today and fever reduced and stopped paracetamol too
One more day left but got the test report with Echoli bacteria positive and akmacin highly sensitive . Doctor asked to continue augmentin duo for 5 more days .
Does augmentin duo cure this particular bacteria? Should the antibiotics ti be changed ? Attached urine test result
