Hi,
For medication related queries, consult with a psychiatrist. However, you are facing sleep issues that you are bothered about. This can be fixed with the help of a psychologist. Consult for proper guidance. Ask your physician to reduce the dose and then stop it as you should not do it yourself. It can have side effects.
Hi.. Ativan is an antianxiety medication generally used to treat GAD, OCD, panic attacks, social phobias, etc. Antianxiety meditations are sometimes prescribed to address sleep issues. You can ask your Psychiatrist to gradually reduce your dosage and discontinue your medication. Please make changes in your medications only under medical supervision and do not try to do it on your own. Your issues appear more psychosocial so I would suggest you to seek counselling/psychotherapy. It will help you address your sleep issues more effectively and in a natural manner without any side effects.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist.
CBT along with Lifestyle Changes and Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required.
Consult a Psychiatrist for any changes in medication.
