ASTIGMATISM VS STRABISMUS
Dear Sir I want to ask that is astigmatism a cause for the deviation of pupil of the eye, also known as strabismus. I know that there can be other causes too.. but suppose if a person's eye has exotropia of 10°, and the prescription of his eyeglasses reads -0 75*10°, so that means that this 10° cylindrical power has caused the exotropia of 10° in that eye? If yes, will that exotropia becomes normal if this cylindrical power ceases to zero or a person can still have exotropia without any cylindrical power? Please clarify the relation between the two in detail as I have also been told that convergence eye exercise can cause cylindrical power ceases to zero and hence cure the exotropia. Thanks & regards
