Ascoril D Plus for 2 year old
Hi,
My pediatrician gave Ascoril D in prescription - 2.5ml. but the medicial store gave Ascoril D Plus.
When I checked, I understand that there is Ascoril Junior especially for kids.
Is it ok to give Ascoril D Plus to my 2 year old, 10.5kg? Or should I buy Junior?

Hi, it completely depends on the type of cough your child is having. Check whether it is dry or wet cough. For dry cough, Dextromethorphan can be given.

Give plain ascoril d to the baby. Junior and plus have dextromethorphan which is harmful for the baby

Ascoril D is cough suppressant and cold medicine
Ascoril Jr is cough expectorant
Each one are for specific uses.
Don't experiment.
