Good morning doctor...i am undergoing arv dosages in government hospital.and my last dosage is there on sept 15..while i am undergoing dosages i got an another bite from unknown stray dog and the wound is small..i just washed with soap and water and went to govt hsptl they said continue the balnce dosages...is there any time duration of arv vaccine in our body... how many days the vaccine will be there in our body..
I am asking because ..for one dog bite we are undergoing 4 dosages... why are we not undergoing any dosages inbetween the 7th day and 28th dosage...is there balance 28th day one dose is enough for that another bite?i am confused and depressed...my sleep is disturbing.. please give me some consult and guidance..

Usually arv doses are given on 0,3,7,14,28 / 0,7,14,28 so as tou have already been vaccinated you neednt worry...If the wound was category 3 wen the dog bit you for the second time have RIG injected around wound else u neednt worry as u will be immune to the virus for the next 1 to 2 years...If dog bites you after 1 year take a booster dose of two arv injections with or without RIG...So right now u neednt worry much and you are safe as you have been vaacinated already....
