Apply vaseline on anus? to prevent piles
Sir, /Madam.
I was diagnosed of having one external and one small internal piles 2 month back but after consulting Doctor proctologist he gave me pilorute ointment to apply 2 times after which now the problem is almost solved.. I have stopped it after 1 month usage.
Now before going for toilet /passing stool I apply vaseline little outside & inside anus due to which my stool gets out very smoothly without any itching or burning and I am feeling very good. After bath I apply small vaseline on outer / external part of anus/pile.
My question is that " Is it safe and good to use vaseline as mentioned above for some long time"??? Does it have any side effects??
