Antidepressant and Viral Infection
Hi Sir...Am facing viral infection (may be dengue...Reports are not came yet) I have few platelets and very low white blood cells...I want to ask you sir that I was on Mirtazapine 15mg from a month (antidepressant ) It makes sleepy but last night I fainted....Is this drug decrease platelets and WBC ? Should i need to stop this drug ? I also fearing of withdrawal too much.....
And in one day I lost 1 gram blood...lost 50,000 cells more....plz tel...thankew

Mirtazapine can rarely cause reduction in wbc,.. But your current problem is most probably due to viral fever and not Mirtazapine...
