Antideppresents are okay to take or not
I'm taking antideppresent stalopam lite then stalopam 10 mg then stalopam5 mg then its doses are decreasing..now m taking 2.5 mg..it was prescribed by psychiatriat satyakant trivedi from bhopal..i alone go to the dr.as i found myself to be not okay...my family is totally against of medications..they believe that it contains stereoids which would be detrimental..plzz tell me is it okay to take it or not..dr.said it had no sideeffects..but my family are totally against it..i tried to understand but some say positive nd some say negative about antideppressents..my sister say i have to take it for whole my lifetime..i gained weight alot she says it will bw continued nd never be less..

Antidepressants doesn't contain any steroids in them, so no need to worry about that aspect. They do have side effects like any other medicines, but nothing serious. Once you get well and stop taking the medicines, the side effects will subside. How long do you need to take medicines, that depends on the patient profile and your disease severity, and the progress you are making.

Dr SKT is doing correct practice. No serious side effects if drugs In some serious n severe cases YES LIFE LONG drugs Every things in ecxess or deficiency cause problem either food ,water also Trust ur doctor
