Anosmia since 1.5 months after 2d fever
Anodmia since 8/7/20.This is covid symptom. Got RT PCR test done after a month - it is negative. No other symptoms. Taste is only 50%. Can smell mildly only if i take things close to nose. I read several posts on Internet taste & smell may or may not return back. Doctors are saying no medications required except multi vitamins which i m already having. I m worried plz help

Yes anosmia is a covid19 symptom...as you said you have done the test after a month of the onset of the symptoms...so you could also have recovered by that time..(so the test might be negative) Covid19 related anosmia according to available studies...the average time for recovery of the smell sensation is 7 weeks... And it is observed that the severity is more in people from 20-40 age group!!

Rt pcr sensitivity is 60% and there are other viral infection that can affect and mimic like Covid. So if u are non diabetic then anosmia reverts from 3 weeks to 6 months. Keep nutritional supplements on.
