ANKEL SPRAIN PROBLEM
5 days ago I got ankel sprain. Slipped in stairs. Left foot got twisted. That day i visit a public hospital.I was unable to stand on my feet. In the hospital i have to use wheel chair. Doctor told me to do x ray. I did it but bones are safe. He just told me to give ice there and wrap a good crap bandage and give a painkiller DURAPAIN. My pain is all gone in the next day but cant use my left leg for 2 days. Then i can walk slowly but whenever i tried to walk i feel pain in the ligaments. 5 days passed. The swelled portion is gradually reduced but still i cant walk. Could you please suggest me what should i do next ? I have admission in few days so i want to walk normally quickly. Please help me with this problem. Please

Sprains can take between one week to 4 weeks depending upon the degree of injury. You may benefit from physiotherapy consultation. You will be taught strengthening exercises to improve your ankle & foot function.
Next Steps
Try to use stick in opposite hand to that of the injured foot for couple of days. Ice application may be beneficial.
