Angiography in case of dyspnea
Hi, My mother is admitted in ICU for dyspnea. Docs have done several tests saying there is blockage in heart artery and asking for angiography. Please just assist with your opinion shall wr go for angiography in case of shortness/difficulty in breathe. Regards Komal

thats a very good and important question, that 9/10 cardiologist will not be able to answer properly. there are many more things we need to know to answer this. 1. did she have sudden onset first episode of dyspnoea or its a long standing process 2. did she have any assiciated chest pain 3. whats the troponin levels( thats a blood test which must have been done) 4. whats her LVEF on echo.
Next Steps
remember there may be blockages in her heart, but by opening those blockages she will improve is a matter of debate in medical science. stress test is required to determine that.
