My mom has been suffering with sudden swelling of lips for the past few months and consulted some dermatologists but the problem is not solved. Recently her tongue has swollen making it difficult to breathe. Is this Angioedema? Should we consult a general physician or dermatologist for further diagnosis?

Hello There.
I can understand your concern,
this is a serious issue. swellings causing difficulty in breathing is to be taken as a medical emergency.
kindly consult a MD consultant physician in person for further evaluation and management. as of now give her a tablet. levocetrizine 10 mg . do not waste any further time.
best regards,
