What is anesthesia?how it will give to patient?how many hours before it will give before surgery?it's essential to give?there is any pain?please tell me?if I will not take anesthesia then what will happen?

there is pre anaesthetic checkup and if fit then only surgery perform it is given just before surgery. a injection given so patient go in deep slip and after that no pain the anaesthesia maintained by gases till surgery complete then reversal given to make patient conscious
