May I know when was the last you had been to a dentist? I can understand you have a bit knowledge about dental health when you used the word plaque. At home, the only way to prevent yellow teeth and plaque removal would be maintaining a good oral hygiene with twice daily brushing with an ultrasoft bristle tooth brush with a proper modified bass method of brushing. I would advise flossing only when there is food lodgement in between the teeth rather than flossing all the time as not everyone knows proper way of flossing and end up hurting their gums. Reason for yellow stains varies from tea, coffee or colorful eating habits, so whenever you have such food items make sure at least you gargle your mouth with water. Plaque is a dark brown-to-Black deposit formed when there is accumulation of food debris with bacteria and a person is either unable to cleanse some areas of the tooth surface due to crowding or difficulty with brushing, which needs to be removed by professional dentist or hygienist. Health Tips
1.Brush twice a day early in the morning and at night before going to bed.
2. Change your brush at least once in 3 month. If you are changing it more frequently than 1 months, it might be indication that you are applying too much pressure on your teeth and gums which leads to sensitivity and gums recession.
3. Use mouthwash only when advised by a dentist or when it is required.
4. floss only when you have a food lodgement issue.
