Hello. The 3rd molars erupt at the age of 18-21 years.
Your wisdom tooth is partially impacted/erupting. Due to which you have developed a condition called pericoronitis. Pericoronitis is pain, swelling and inflammation in the gums of that region (around the tooth). You might also experience referred pain to your throat, ear and cheeks.
You are required to take an OPG (Full mouth x-ray) which will show the position and condition of the tooth.
It is advised to get your 3rd molar extracted.
