Wisdom tooth pain

Wisdom tooth is not getting space to come out so it's hurting my cheek n other adjacent teeth. I'm having trouble while eating n brushing my teeth. Is there any other way to heal it than extraction of the tooth. And if extraction is the only way, what will be the approximate cost?

You can do warm saline rinses for this, try to keep the area clean. Extraction will be better otherwise as you also know that it is impacting the adjacent tooth, slowly and slowly leading to its decay (means you are compromising a healthy tooth which is necessary for chewing for a wisdom tooth).

Mam correct diagnosis of your problem demands a good OPG and a good IOPA x-ray. Anyway as you presented the facts that it's hurting your cheeks so after clinical assessment CORONOPLASTY of this tooth means shaping of the wisdom tooth can be done,  secondly sometimes a skin/gum flap covers the wisdom tooth which when infected can cause a lot of pain and discomfort,  so the same can be treated by removal of the flap by a procedure called as OPERCULECTOMY.. Prices may range according to the disinfection protocol of the clinic and the skill of the operating surgeon and the level of difficulty of your case

hi, if the tooth is not getting any space to come out, the only treatment that must be done is extraction. else it will degrade or damage other adjacent tooth, which will lead to other tooth extraction. extraction cost depends on the severity of your problem. it may range from 3000 to 5000 INR if done by a specialist. consult an ORAL SURGEON (extraction specialist) for proper diagnosis and treatment planning

hello, you can do warm salt water rinses as a home remedy. but this will give you only temporary relief from pain. you need to consult a dentist and get it checked. get an x-ray done. if pain persists it is better to get it extracted. the cost can range from Rs. 1500-3500/-.

Wisdom teeth problem generally arises at adolescent age which is the result of insufficient space in the oral cavity as a result they irritate and cause many problems while eating the first and good treatment suggestion would be extraction if you are little frightened about the procedure consult the near by doctor and take a x-ray ask the doctor explain the tooth position of wisdom teeth and how they are removing them and to prevent extraction the position of your tooth is to determined first if it is partially covered by soft tissue u can go by a treatment called OPERCULECTOMY and other option if only sharp points on tooth are irritating then u can go for ENAMELOPLASTY but it varies from patient to patient should be confirmed by clinical examination and x-rays

Dear Practo User, A definite diagnosis and treatment plan can only given after seeing your radiograph. If tooth is erupting in normal position then we can wait and let it come in its normal position in mouth. This will prevent you from extraction. If the position of tooth on OPG ( Full mouth X-RAY) seems abnormal then we have to go for extraction only. As far as the cost is concerned, it completely depends upon the complexity of the case and expertise of the treating doctor.
Next Steps
Kindly get an OPG done.
