Hi, Thank you for your question. We understand that this can be daunting to come across, for you as a patient. But nothing to worry. The X ray shows that this is a dentigerous cyst. Which is a developmental thing. There is nothing you could have done to prevent it. Dentigerous Cysts have to be removed along with the tooth and outer cystic layer. Ideally this is done under General Anesthesia, keeping in mind complications chair side and patient comfort. So we recommend e General Anesthesia approach. After removal, the cyst is sent for Biopsy, which usually reveals if this is something to be cautious about or if it is anything more than a developmental cyst.
