Hello There are many factors that would decide whether an RCT can be done for the wisdom tooth or it should go for extraction. First of all it would depend upon your mouth opening because the tooth should be accessible for the treating doctor, secondly whether there is an opposing wisdom tooth because if you do not have the upper wisdom tooth on the same side then even after doing RCT this tooth will create trouble in future and you will have to get it removed as it will supra-erupt, thirdly the angulation of tooth-if the tooth is not straight and angulated in either direction then better to extract it. So it would require a proper examination and probably a good x-ray for the decision to be made what treatment is needed. Moreover the RCT of wisdom Tooth should be done by an endodontist or a root canal specialist whereas extraction of wisdom tooth is done by a maxillofacial surgeon

Hi.If the upper wisdom tooth of same side is in contact with this lower wisdom tooth in proper position than it is helping you in chewing so you can go for RCT and crown of this tooth. It's worth only if it's helping you in chewing.Or else you can get that tooth extracted.
