My grandmother has White patches on tongue , pain while eating or irritation, swelling over the tongue
She unable to eat spicy food since more than 3 years.
Biposy report is done. Diagnosis is leukoplakia but not precancerous lesion. She is diabetic patient and also have thyroid. Artificial teeths
No history smoking
No history of addiction
Leukoplakia is normally a harmless condition but the cause is often habits such as smoking or chewing tobacco.Other causes can be an ill fitting denture or sharp edges of the teeth, or biting yr own cheek or tongue. Rule out any inflammatory conditions in the body.
Next Steps
Regular visits to a dentist is paramount.If the patches change colour from white to red, should be attended to asap.

Eat anti-oxidant rich foods such as carrot & spinach.
Good History of Present Illness, leukoplakia ( White lesion) need to be excised with soft tissue laser (of 810nm ARC Fox III the most precise laser which we have at Dental Affection, Bangalore) along with glycemic control , which produces minimum pain and discomfort. Apart from surgical excision etiology should be treated. ( Question is answered without clinical and histological observation and diagnosis)
