Dear Practo User, Based on the symptoms you have described, it is likely that your discomfort is due to an impacted wisdom tooth. This can lead to accidental cheek biting, especially if a portion of the cheek gets caught between the wisdom tooth and the sharp cusp of the opposing molar. To address this, a procedure called enameloplasty may be performed, where the sharp cusp of the molar is slightly reshaped to prevent further irritation. However, if the wisdom tooth is impacted and causing persistent issues, extraction is a definitive solution. I strongly recommend consulting a maxillofacial surgeon for a comprehensive evaluation and appropriate management.
