Sir,madam in which situations do you suggest for root canal treatment .can anyone explain about root canal treatment and what is it's importance .

Human tooth crown portion has three parts ENAMEL,DENTINE, PULP..
IF THE CARIES IS IN ENAMEL AND DENTINE You can restore the tooth by simple filling...if the caries reaches the pulp (contains nerves and blood vessels) you will have the symptom of pain and you need to go for ROOT CANAL TREATMENT followed by capping of the tooth..
Root canal treatment is a conservative procedure which will restore the tooth which cant restore with simple filling...

A tooth has 3 parts as in enamel, dentin and pulp. If 2 parts of your teeth is affected by caries it can be restored by normal filling, but if pulp part is affected then root canal treatment is to be done ( assessed both clinically and radiographically.) Rct is important as in to save your natural teeth and avoid extraction.
