What is High sgpt and sgot?

Hi doctor. I have done few blood tests including liver function Which suggest both sgpt and sgot above 40. What is it? And why increased? Can be reversed with medication?

Hello, Liver enzymes can be elevated if you are obese or alcoholic. Could you share the exact values to opine further? If they are way higher like 5 times more than the normal range, it’s worrisome.
