Weight gain in baby

Hello doctor My baby's birth weight was 3.3 kgs and now in 5 months her weight is 5.85 kgs. She is formula fed. She sometimes vomits milk after having it. I am a little worried as I think her weight gain is not up to the mark. Please suggest

Hello, please feed every 2 hours. Once the baby reaches 6 months of age, you can introduce semi-solid foods, as well as boiled and mashed fruits and vegetables, in addition to cereals. Monitor the baby's growth at least every 3 months. Thank you

She should be 6.9 kg at 5 mnths She has crossed from 50th percentile to below 15th centile as per the growth charts.

Occasional vomitting couldn't have caused it. If she didn't have any illness, it must be due to reduced formula feed

Hi. By 5 to 6 months it should be around double the birth weight. It is a bit on lower end. Please consult online for detailed explanation of diet around this age

Yes weight could have been around 7.5kg But now weight gain is difficult at this age. After 6 months start solids with proper consultation.
