If the watering is associated with yellowish discharge, matting of the lids in the morning, one has to rule out a blockage in the tear duct system that connects eye and the nose (NLD complex). Massage over the tear sack may be carried out after proper training by the parents. Probing may be considered subsequently. There is no need to panic.
