11 years old will not need vitamin D Supplements unless in a deficiency state . Do serum vitamin D Levels and let know that reports . Depending on that we will suggest the dose .thank you

Vitamin D can be given for: 1) Deficiency - large doses given only after confirmation of deficiency with a blood test. 2) Daily supplement - Vit D3(600IU/5ml) 5ml once a day, can be given for 3 months.
Health Tips
1) Make sure the concentration is as above. Over dose also is not good. 2) Make sure your child receives adequate milk and certain foods rich in Vitamin D like  mushrooms, eggs and fish (if you are non-vegetarians). 3) Though difficult with the current pandemic, exposure to sunlight is also important. You can do so, while complying with the Covid restrictions.
