Hello Vandana! Low vitamin D levels is the common finding as sunlight exposure in corporate culture is completely missing. Even most orthopaedic surgeon's are suffering from vitamin D deficiency. The deficiency as per reports is severe and need supplementation. There is no need of getting yourself poked for improving your vitamin D levels. You can take oral form of vitamin D every three days for two weeks and then once a week for six weeks. This will improve your levels in about six weeks, also have good sunlight exposure in the morning and evening time when the sunlight is not penetrating hot.
