Based on your history, your symptoms are more suggestive of mechanical neck pain/cervical muscle strain rather than a serious injury, especially since your CT scan was normal. Mild cervical osteophytes at your age are often incidental and may not be the primary cause of pain. Your severe vitamin D deficiency can also contribute to muscle pain and fatigue. The improvement after vitamin D and B12 supplementation is reassuring. However, persistent or recurrent neck pain should be evaluated clinically.
Next Steps
Continue vitamin D supplementation as advised by your physician and avoid taking it irregularly. Maintain good posture, especially while using mobile phones or computers, continue supervised cervical strengthening and stretching exercises, and avoid prolonged neck flexion. If the pain persists, radiates to the arm, or is associated with numbness or weakness, consult an Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon. An MRI of the cervical spine may be required if symptoms persist despite conservative treatment. You may also book an online consultation with me through Practo for a detailed evaluation.
Health Tips
Seek immediate medical attention if you develop progressive arm weakness, difficulty walking, loss of balance, bowel/bladder symptoms, or severe persistent headache with vomiting.

Your difficult delivery/C-section and the umbilical cord around the baby’s neck are unlikely to be responsible for your present neck symptoms. Based on the intermittent pattern, normal head CT and worsening with travel, poor sleep and muscle tightness, this is more suggestive of mechanical neck pain with muscle spasm/postural strain. Small marginal osteophytes on an X-ray may be incidental and do not automatically mean serious cervical disease. However, the “vibrating” sensations cannot be diagnosed online and require a neurological examination.
Next Steps
Consult an orthopaedic specialist for examination of neck movement, muscle tenderness, arm power, sensation and reflexes. Begin supervised physiotherapy with posture correction, gentle mobility, deep-neck flexor and shoulder-blade strengthening. MRI is usually considered when neurological symptoms persist, examination is abnormal, or pain does not improve after appropriate conservative treatment—not solely because minor osteophytes appear on X-ray. Because your vitamin D was previously very low, take the prescribed course regularly and discuss an appropriate maintenance dose with your doctor rather than taking tablets intermittently or repeating injections without supervision.
Health Tips
Use a medium-height supportive pillow, avoid prolonged downward mobile-phone posture, take breaks during car travel, apply warm compresses and improve sleep arrangements as far as possible. Avoid forceful neck manipulation. Seek urgent medical care for severe or rapidly worsening headache, repeated vomiting, fever with neck stiffness, arm or leg weakness, persistent numbness, hand clumsiness, imbalance, difficulty walking, or bladder/bowel disturbance.

This is most likely chronic mechanical neck pain (cervical strain/spondylosis) rather than a serious injury especially since the CT scan and X-rays were normal except for minimal osteophytes. Your severe vitamin D deficiency (19 ng/mL) and borderline vitamin B12 may be contributing to muscle pain and nerve symptoms.
Next Steps
Continue vitamin D and B12 supplementation. Perform regular neck strengthening.
Health Tips
If pain persists for more than 8 weeks, radiates to the arm or is associated with numbness or weakness, get an MRI of the cervical spine.
