Hello, I understand your concern Fever is common — focus on child’s overall activity A fever of 103–104°F can look alarming, but what matters most is: Child’s alertness Feeding Urine output Breathing Fever itself does not cause harm when managed well. Normal platelet range: 1.5–4.5 lakhs 1.69 lakhs is absolutely safe — no bleeding risk, no need for platelet medicines/juices. At this stage, this is not suggestive of dengue complications. There is no danger from the platelet count. We will simply monitor. Most likely a viral fever (seasonal). If other symptoms appear like rash, vomiting, severe body pain, abdominal pain → we will reassess.

Hello mam , How’s fever today & what medication you r taking ? Some viral infection tend to down platelet counts. These will recover when pts fever will recover - Need to repeat platelet count if fever persist after 48 hrs - if fever remains , we need to look for other causes of fever

Yes low platelets are due to fever. But they normalise when fever goes away. We need details like symptoms, check up and other blood tests to know the cause. Speak with your Pediatrician or take a second opinion for clarification. No need to worry usually.

May be the dengue or dengue like illness ...kindly show once physically to nearby pediatrician

It could be any infection,bacterial or viral.further tests and observation are needed to confirm and give proper treatment
