Vigorous itching in genital area
I have severe uncontrollable itching with several patches in genital area including the scrotum and inner thighs, it started a week ago I used candid dusting powder but it is ineffective the itching is continuous and when I scratch it becomes more red and intense

Your symptoms of severe itching with red patches in the scrotum and inner thigh area are most commonly due to a fungal infection (tinea cruris / jock itch). Dusting powder alone often does not treat the infection completely, which is why the itching may still persist.
Helpful Tips / Word of Caution:
• Avoid steroid combination creams, as they can worsen fungal infections.
• Wear loose cotton underwear and change it daily.
• Do not scratch the area, as this can increase irritation and spread infection.
• Wash underwear and towels regularly and dry them properly in sunlight.
