BPPV can be easily treated with Epley's maneuver if there are no contraindications. Usually with 2 to 3 sittings with a gap of 7 days in between the vertigo goes away completely. Precautions to be followed to prevent recurrence : rapid head turning / head movement should be avoided for 3 to 6 months. As such there are no contraindications for swimming if rapid head turning / head movements can be avoided.
Swimming should not be attempted unless one is free of vertigo after treatment.
Health Tips
Your treating doctor should tell you if you are fit for swimming.
