Vaginal infection

I had continuous itching inside my vaginal hole and surroundings with a foul smell of discharge... Nature of white discharge seems different. I consulted dr and she priscribed metronidazole and clotrimazole. After that itching reduced. But fowl smell and discharge continued... Now it again started to itching... Which test i should get to know about the problem... Do i need to remove my pubic hair during test or can the sample be taken with pubic hair
