Painless is a wrong term. While giving the injection, there is going to be pain. Also there is some chance of fever even after the so called "painless DTaP vaccine" the chance of fever and other side effects is less but not zero. While fever is common after the so called "painful DTwP vaccine"  DTwP gives longer immunity as per some studies. So if you are ready to face fever for 1-2 days, you should take it. Otherwise go for DTaP

Most of the centres use DTaP (Painless) in their vaccination protocol which is equally effective as DTwP (whole cell- Painfull) You can Opt DTaP which apart from painless has other less side effects compared to DTwP. But let me tell you at the end of the day both vaccines are given as Injection shots and that pain is standard for everyone.
