It seems you need to know regarding his illness completely. Psychoeducation from the present doctor is very important.
Also, try to see wether he takes doubts and looks suspiciously, he smiles and talks to himself or spending behaviour increased etc. There is a reason behind aggression. Try to find it out whether it's due to demands, obsession or paranoia. You can explain accordingly to the psychiatrist and also need to assure whether your patient is taking medicines properly. Sometimes they show that they are taking medicines but they don't swallow tablets and secretly throw them away( just a possibility).
