Upper Back Pain

My next got strained while i was in sleep. Along with pain near neck I also felt pain near upper back. I feel still the pain exists. Please help me with whom i have to consult for this.

Dear friend This is acute neck pain. Don't worry Take ice pack and give rest to your neck.

Just take few pain killers along with muscle relaxant tablets. Once I'd reduced start doing neck muscles strengthening exercises. U Ll be fine. If the pain persists then consult an orthopedician

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

U need to consult a Orthopedic or a physiotherapist...this is just a catch becoz of improper posture...kindly go for hot fermentation twice a day and have tab. Nucoxia mr twice a day..get well soon.. take care

You appear to have an Acute neck strain. This is quiet common and usually not serious. Please consult an orthopaedist. You might need an X Ray followed by pain killers and muscle relaxants. After the Pain comes down after a couple of days you will need exercises to strengthen your neck muscles and alteration in your  postural habits. Hope that helps, Regards

It seems like your neck Muscles would be in continuous tension leading to muscle stiffness. You need to see a physio to treat you and guide you with neck and scapula exercises with stretching routines for stiff muscles.

hi!!! its a common issues which occur at some point of time in life where neck muscles get strained because of faulty posture attained while sleeping!!! now because of this muscle strain there can be a facet joint locked which may restrict your neck movement in a particular direction or angle. that is why you may feel the pain till your upper back or sometimes even till mid back.

depending on the severity of strain and symptoms you may go ahead with muscle relaxant and cryotherapy (cold or ice massage). and do consult with a physiotherapist.

avoid going to somebody who claims to be local chiropractor. go for neck muscle strengthening once pain and strain subsides.
