Unrefreshing sleep

2026-06-28 05:34:27
I am waking up unrefreshed for last seven eight months ,, especially after lunch I feel even more sleepy and tired ... did all check thyroid , glucose (pradinal, post pradinal) , cortisol, testosterone, iron profile , luetnizing hormone ,sex hormone binding globulin , all CBC , liver function test , echo , ecg, chest x ray , ultrasound abdomen scan , vitamin b12 , PFT all are fine ... but vitamin d is 27.1 and ldl is 142 borderline high with healthy HdL I have deviated septum in my right nose ... sleep gets disturbed mildly where I toss in my bed at least five to six times during the night ... also I had a habit of sleeping late , disrupting sleep ( sleeping at 4 am sometimes) till November 2025 which I corrected now ... should I go for sleep study to see if deviated septum is causing this ? Or do you suggest something else

Deviated nasal septum can disturb sleep. Get it corrected by a minor surgery. You have m8ld vit d deficiency,  take supplements for 4 weeks.

Given the deviated nasal septum, frequent tossing during sleep, and unrefreshing sleep despite normal investigations, Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a strong possibility. The deviated septum can obstruct nasal airflow during sleep, leading to repeated micro-arousals that prevent deep, restorative sleep — explaining the daytime sleepiness and fatigue. A sleep study (polysomnography) is absolutely the right next step. Your Vitamin D at 27.1 is also insufficient and can contribute to fatigue — worth supplementing.
Next Steps
Yes, go ahead with a sleep study. Also start Vitamin D3 supplementation. Consult an ENT for assessment of the deviated septum in the context of sleep-disordered breathing. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

Low Vit D and mild OSA from septum can contribute.  Start Vit D supplement and try better sleep hygiene. A consultation can evaluate further. Feel free to book one.

Better if you consult with an ent surgeon for deviated septum ,because sometimes its also causes blockage nearby adjacent structures and causes breathing tachypnea, dyspnea, during sleeps ,and interrupts sleep. Second one is allergic rhinitis suspected because of high eosinophilic count according to your reports .so in my opinion better if you consult with an ent surgeon doctor.
