Symptoms persisting after antibiotics suggest treatment failure or a resistant infection. Please see a doctor urgently for a urine routine + urine culture & sensitivity before starting any new antibiotic. The medication may need to be changed or extended. Lower back pain with chills raises concern for upper UTI (kidney involvement). Helpful tips / caution: Do not self-medicate or repeat the same antibiotic. Drink plenty of fluids. Seek immediate care if fever, worsening back pain, vomiting, or blood in urine occurs.
